Student participants were given one legal-sized piece of paper that was divided intothirds (horizontally). Students were asked to “draw an engineer at work” in each frame and toanswer three questions about each illustration: 1) Is the engineer male or female?; 2) How is theengineer using math?; and 3) How is the engineer using science?
