the appreciationfor the material that students gain when exposed to a student-centered learning environmentexceeds what traditional teaching is able to achieve. Faculty members take on the role offacilitators to the learning process of the students, set the scope, pose challenges, provideguidance, and be partners to the students. While student-centered learning may at first glanceappear less formal and structured, it is certainly richer in opportunities for students to developtheir own learning styles. At the same time, the teacher is challenged even more than intraditional teaching, as the lessons change from a monologue style to a constructive dialogue. This also poses a higher demand on utilizing assessment techniques that reflect the

pre-planning are invaluable when estimating thecost of changes to the work. Schedules reflect plans and are thus a necessary component of pre-plans. Oglesbyet al.12 note that pre-planning without scheduling has little merit. Schedules indicatewhen work tasks are to be performed and depict the sequence in which tasks are to becompleted. Schedules are also valuable in analyzing operational alternatives and timeconsiderations are second only to cost. Task drawings combine on a single sheet all the detailed information required bya field crew to perform the operation. Information typically includes a bill of materials, notes regarding any special considerations, and quantity summaries. The drawings onlycontain pertinent information

CollaborationConstruction information flows reflect how construction teams communicate with each other.Reasonable information flows can reduce collaboration conflicts. There are many formalconstruction information flows based on project contracts, and also there are many informalconstruction information flows which are formed among some teams based on personnel or workrelationships. If there are lack of formal regulations to manage construction information flows, students in the simulated construction project would be in chaos and no collaboration forms, andthen few significant progresses are made. Construction communication directions are shown inFigure 4. Page 12.839.7
