The Philadelphia ACE (Architecture, Construction and Engineering) Mentor Program helpedidentify underrepresented students from the Philadelphia area and provided scholarships, along with thePenn State’s AE department to supplement those student’s attendance. The AE department also awardedinternal scholarships to underrepresented and economically disadvantaged participants as needed and fundspermitted. With advertising completed, registration opened at the beginning of February (before that summerthe camp was held).
