Current strategic plan for Georgia Institute of Plan and Vision Technology. Olin College Curricular Vision A guiding document for the development of Olin College curriculum. The purpose of this examination was to discover mandates within the documents that wouldfavor an andragogical teaching and learning approach. Expanding the bounds of this studybeyond a single engineering discipline and institution provides a richer context for theincorporation of andragogy into the greater field of engineering education. For the analyses, twoof the authors individually coded each document for text related to the five andragogicalassumptions. These instances were then evaluated to

Twoautonomous robots in the vacuum system are programmed using ROS under Linux Ubuntu. ALIDAR is installed on each of the robots and path-planning algorithms allow them to navigatearound obstacles. The autonomous teaming robots are mainly designed to clean commercial officeareas. However, they may also be used for residential spaces.INTRODUCTIONOne of the most thankless jobs in office or home areas is vacuuming. It is a duty that sometimesinvolves dragging around an unwieldy plastic hose connected to a clumsy wheeled canister forextended periods depending on the room size

The commoncourse project platform was introduced in the freshman surveying course, where studentscollected geographical data. This project platform was revisited throughout the freshman yearthrough the development of site plans and topographic maps of the project site in graphicalcommunications and geographical information systems courses. This method provides afoundational context for a civil engineering site development that will be used in future coursesfor designing a multi-story building in a structural design course, analyzing soil samples forfoundation design in a soil mechanics course, and developing a stormwater management plan ina water resources

design and implementation ofcollaborative ill-structured tasks using a research-based framework that outlines the necessaryelements of such tasks: an introduction to the problem that provides context, a description of theproblem itself, the specific task(s) students are expected to achieve as a group, supplementarymaterial that provides information useful for solving the task, and scaffolding tools that studentscan use to develop plans, draw diagrams, and generate solutions [6]. This paper presents amethod to evaluate the design of ill-structured tasks in relation to the interaction processes thatstudents used in their groups. skills are essential for career development. However, in typicaluniversity settings, undergraduate students take different courses and work on different projects indifferent teams each semester. As a result, students lack opportunities to work on multi-yearprojects and develop the skills essential for long-term planning. To remedy this situation, ourdepartment has created elective courses that allow students from all years (first-year students tograduate students) to work on research projects under the supervision of faculty members and thementorship of senior graduate students. These projects provide the opportunities for students tolearn many skills essential in workplace, such as (1) understanding how projects are designed andmanaged; (2

recruitmore female students to the STEM fields by showing them the emerging and multidisciplinaryaspects. Our collaboration with the local high school started in Fall 2014 by offering their students a year-long robotics workshop. Our objective is to utilize the robotics workshop to introduce STEMconcepts to high school students, and encourage them to be interested in an engineering andscience career. A sequence of workshop topics were given to introduce the fundamentals ofrobotics science and the basic components of a robotics system, including hardware, software, programming, sensors, and control. The students would gain intensive experience working withthe robots. In addition to introducing the fundamentals, we planned to prepare the students withthe

Using thebearings provided by the 1930 report, the monuments were relocated by the Surveying IIclass. Figure 1 shows an elevation of the north monument at the city cemetery. As canbe seen in the figure, the monuments were difficult to initially locate due to theresemblance to grave markers. Figures 2 and 3 illustrate the plan view of themonuments. Interestingly, the original monuments were moved instead of newmonuments being constructed. In most other counties, new monuments were constructedand the originals destroyed.
