State LA Engineeringmajors. In this course, students learned about codes of ethics and moral frameworks which frameengineering design decisions. The course also provided an opportunity for students to get toknow about the community partners and be introduced to the project. We took field trips to thecommunity partner organizations and students were asked to share reflections on needs theyidentified, and hypothetical case studies were created out of the BOOST projects. The studentsalso learned to communicate and interact professionally with the community partners. Each cohort is between 50 and 75students and composed of primarily third-year Biomedical Engineering students, with a smallfraction of Electrical Engineering students.
