In particular, we propose the index, hs, of aninstitution of higher education, defined as the number of high schoolswho have graduates enrolling in the institution >= hs as a usefulindicator for the selection of high schools with whom an institutionshould work in the areas of professional development and recruitment ofstudents. Using this hs-index for ___________ university, we have beenable to show how professional development programs with regional highschools have positively impacted student enrollment in our engineeringand science degree programs.
