An industrial automation system would normally consist of such components as robots to handle materials, conveyor systems to carry raw materials and processed parts, machines to process parts, image processing and other systems for part inspection and quality assurance, and storage and retrieval systems to maintain and control inventory. This project will simulate and demonstrate the functioning of an automated material handling system. It will utilize actuators, power supply, conveyor system and a programmable control system. As a modular unit, it can be integrated into a larger automated system.
