DAVID M. BEAMS David Beams is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Tyler. He received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1974 and the M.S. degree in 1977, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was employed in industry for 16 years.. He received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1997. He is a licensed PE in Wisconsin and Texas and holds or shares four patents.
