Robert L. Mott University of Dayton

Robert Mott is Professor Emeritus of engineering technology at the University of Dayton and the author of three textbooks in mechanical design field. Mott serves as a senior staff member for the National Center for Manufacturing Education, a National Science Foundation-sponsored center that initiated and manages the Manufacturing and Engineering Technologies Education Clearinghouse (METECOnline). In 2004, he served as the founding chair of the SME Manufacturing Education and Research Community. Since then he continues to lead the efforts to fulfill SME’s role in higher education. He has a B.S. Mechanical Engineering, General Motors Institute, and a M.S. Mechanical Engineering, Purdue University.

Terrance L. Speicher Pennsylvania State University, Berks College

Terrance L. Speicher is an Assistant Professor of Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University, Berks College, Reading, PA. He earned his B.S.M.E. degree from Rensselaer Polytechnical Institute, Troy, NY, and his M.S.M.E. and M.S.E.E. degrees from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California and in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a certified Project Management Professional in the United States. He practiced engineering at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Hughes Space and Communications Company, and Nearfield Systems Incorporated before joining academia. His scholarship interests are in engineering design, project management, engineering ethics, and engineering entrepreneurship.
