This paper details the development of a course in medical device design, aimed at equipping students with the skills and knowledge required for the medical device industry. Leveraging the expertise of industry professionals and incorporating practical, hands-on learning experiences, the course is designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry practice. The process of course development, from initial research to collaboration with industry experts, is outlined, highlighting the challenges and successes encountered along the way.
