Mike Molnar likes to be introduced simply as “a manufacturing guy from industry” with 30 years of industry experience in advanced manufacturing. Today Mike leads the NIST Advanced Manufacturing Office for extramural manufacturing programs and also serves as the director of the interagency Advanced Manufacturing National Program Office(AMNPO). Chartered by the White House, the mission of this interagency team is to foster partnerships with industry and academia to strengthen competitiveness and innovation in U.S. manufacturing. The AMNPO supports administration initiatives such as the National Network for Manufacturing Innovation and the Advanced Manufacturing Partnership.
