LISA FREHILL is an associate professor of sociology at New Mexico State University were she is also the Principal Investigator and Program Director of the ADVANCE: Institutional Transformation grant. She holds a bachelor of science in industrial engineering from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University), a master of arts and a Ph.D. in sociology (with a doctoral minor in systems engineering) from the University of Arizona.
