Bob Kolvoord (Ph.D. Cornell University) is a Professor of Integrated Science and Technology at
James Madison University. He holds a joint appointment in the College of Education. He is currently
serving as the Interim Dean of the College of Integrated Science and Engineering and the Interim

training and consulted with schools and colleges across the US and abroad in bringing these
technologies to instructors and students. Kolvoord is also co-creator of the Geospatial Semester, a
dual-enrollment project that is offering college credit to high school students in their senior year as
they learn about geospatial technologies and complete extended, locally-based projects.
