AB  - In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the choice to deliver a STEM focused virtual summer program to a diverse underrepresented population of 9 - 12th graders in rural Louisiana provided a great opportunity to connect with students with a unique set of challenges. During the ten-day program, students completed a series of experiential learning modules exploring applications of engineering principles across the disciplines of engineering technology and the physical, biological and computer sciences.  Students received direction and encouragement while in constant contact with program staff via Google Meet. Program delivery, challenges encountered, solutions implemented and lessons learned will be discussed.
