This paper describes a successfull implementationof PBL in an introductory course using “rocket cars” as its focus instead of the flight-based focusfound in previous publications. Hence, this paper is the first of its kind in the literature. Thepractical experience described in this paper is realization centered.Curricular ContextENGN 110 is an introduction to engineering and technology course designed to “introduce avariety of engineering and technology disciplines” through a series of engineering projects.
