In November of 2019, I went to a SWE conference and that was a huge high for me because I got multiple internship offers for this summer. It was unlike anything I had been to before; it was amazing. That conference is such an incredible opportunity because there ’s hundreds of companies there and they’re all there to hire women, which is not something that you get usually in engineering. -care. The advice provided by online students in 2020 introduced a new concept to thetheme of time management, the idea of attending online class at its “scheduled” time. For classesbeing administered synchronously, student advice indicates that students should attend class atthe time scheduled by the university, regardless of whether the session will be recorded andavailable to view later. For asynchronous courses, where lectures are pre-recorded, onlinestudents should schedule time(s) each week to watch the recordings, supporting advice offeredby unsuccessful online learners.6 In traditional in-person learning environments, a student’s classschedule is dictated by the available course offerings and their associated times. cultural knowledge. • A necessary key to success is selecting a proper class variety to maximize students’ eligibility to apply. Classes offered abroad should be as many as possible to maximize the supply, but of course, each class has a cost and is bound by the availability of the instructor(s). An ideal compromise is 4-5 classes, to allow willing and fully eligible students to complete a full Spring semester of face-to-face learning abroad. At the same time, some of the interested students might not be attracted to all classes, so it is imperative to broaden the supply with available online courses. This would greatly increase the eligibility, interest, and applications to the program from multiple

time to explore on their own can be a key aspect of developing thesecompetencies. Beyond the travel component, we consider the academic aspect of these types ofprograms (i.e., courses associated with it) and also intentionally design learning activities thatallow students to obtain complementary learning gains to what they are experiencing by the factof being abroad. introduction inthe early 1990’s including transformational leadership, organizational transformation, learningorganizations, and motivation.1. Appreciation for a System: According to Deming, a system is “a network of interdependent components that work together to try to accomplish the aim of the system.” Leaders must know how to lead and optimize a system, and not destroy it. The aim of the system must be clear to everyone involved in this man-made system. Additionally, the aim must be related to value and better life for its consumers. For example, there is a difference between a company that has an aim of producing cars and another company that has an aim of solving mobility needs. The latter more likely involves greater creativity and
