this web app has been specifically customized for this curriculum. The application takesthe necessary input, such as a student’s ACT Math score, the courses the student completed, andthe courses the student is taking currently (if any). Once the required information is entered inthe corresponding fields, the application provides a detailed output of semester-wise proposedcourses that the student needs to take to graduate on time. The application has options for adding summer courses, reordering specific courses, andchanging the anticipated hours per semester. Thus, a student can vary the parameters and createthe optimum semester-wise course plan for the remainder of their education at SouthernArkansas University. The adviser can print it for

planned implementation and dissemination. Furthermore, surveying is a professionwith a low public profile and only a few accredited programs exist in the US. Thus, as asecondary objective, engineering students of any major will learn about surveying and beexposed to real surveying problems. This can help students identify themselves as futuresurveyors and aid in recruitment and enrollment.IntroductionThis is a work in progress (WIP) paper that aims to enhance mathematics courses such as collegealgebra, trigonometry, and calculus with real life (RL) problems from surveying which, forinstance, incorporate area, volume, and slope calculations. Mathematics and statistics instructorsoften complain that students are less motivated in their classes as

existing Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI)also directly supports this role. The SEAS Diversity Liaisons committee meets monthly withboth the Associate Dean for DEI and the Director of the ODEI to exchange information, sharebest practices, and assess and plan events, policies, and action. Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, andAccess together are one of three major priorities of the new strategic plan SEAS has formed [7].Current SEAS-wide efforts include establishing new faculty training on DEI issues, new supportmechanisms for students, and creating feedback/incentive/assessment mechanisms for faculty onDEI issues. Part of this is a SEAS-wide effort to ensure diversity in the portraits displayedthroughout the SEAS complex

learned.Although project-based learning allows students to be able to deduce and apply conceptseffectively, students continue to struggle to communicate their work and results effectively fromsuch experiential learning and other projects. Thus, to overcome the deficiencies in writing skillssuch as poor grammar and formatting, and effective literature review in reports, an instructionalscaffolding plan has been developed and implemented in two junior level courses in parallel(Mechanical System Design and Thermal Fluid Laboratory course). The scaffold activitiesinclude incremental class activities and assignments as well as access to support resources. Thescaffolding activities in the instructional plan will allow students to develop confidence

development of a taxonomic classification for linking ethicalcybersecurity practices into engineering crowdsourcing initiatives requires identification ofcybersecurity practices through privacy statements, as well as comparing this to establishedengineering ethics. A multi-step process was employed to provide a methodic approach to thedetermination of relevant cybersecurity practices within common crowdsourcing enterpriseswhich includes scope determining and planning, data collection and analysis, taxonomic dataclassification and the model creation as depicted in Figure 1. In Step 1, the determination of the research scope and research plan was completed. Thedefinition of study goals with scoping to provide both limitations and ending

The research question: “Is it possible toprovide a valuable learning experience through a faculty-initiated, authentic-industry productdevelopment effort in an undergraduate research program in a community college?” Two-yearcommunity colleges have very limited co-op / internship opportunities compared to 4-year schools. . As withmost 2020 summer programs, the SCR2 program was challenged by the novel corona virus(COVID-19) pandemic, which hit the United states during the recruitment period of theproject. Consequently, the project leadership team decided to offer the summer program remotely(on-line) rather than bring students to the participating three campuses across which the programis distributed. The planning and execution of the program during a global pandemic has broughtkey insights into techniques, methods, and technologies for effective cross-site communication, faculty advisor/mentor involvement, participant engagement, and leveraging the strong networkthat connects the participating schools. Essentially, a multi-site remote only combined REU

The control system was designed and re-designed several times but physical work, in earnest, did not begin until late 2010. By Fall 2012the system was functional. Additional control elements and features were added periodicallysince the initial commissioning of the system.Students were first invited and attended a demonstration in the Spring of 2013. To summarize, children of lower SES go tend to go to a lower quality education programand parents fall victim to hardships which does not allow them time to help properly developtheir children. For young children to develop properly, a rich learning environment is crucial. A learningenvironment is defined as the conditions that affect the behavior and development of someone.A baby or toddler is a sponge for new information, their learning environment is wherever theyare. At an early age, a child benefits most from a well-organized, planned, safe, dependable, andflexible environment. TCC uses the SC-ELS as a guideline for

programs. This paper describes a set of softwaresimulation exercises that were developed to complement the limited hands-on opportunities inFall 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The exercises ranged from simple circuits thatillustrated the use of Multisim to more complex and practical circuits that covered Op-Ampapplications, dependent sources, and the Thevenin theorem. In general, we were successful inachieving the course objectives but there is room for improvement. Future plans includeintegration of the software into every experiment in this course while increasing the number andcomplexity of the hands-on experiments. Experiments would be revised to consist of two phases:(1) Students would complete a pre-lab that involves theoretical analysis

being an art than a science, although one must have knowledge of construction methods and materials to work successfully. Architectural engineering combines all aspects of the building design and construction, involving mechanical, electrical and structural and other notions of mathematical precision. It is a field that uses far more technology than its predecessor. Architecture focuses more on the aesthetic design and the functional and spatial layout of buildings as opposed to the engineering that architectural engineering incorporates. Architectural engineers apply engineering principles to the construction, planning and design of buildings and other structures. Architecture has been closely associated with engineering in the history of the

As in the hazardous waste class, the students emphasized differenttopics and had different insights than the instructor had, opening up the instructor’s mind todifferent ways of looking at and of teaching the material.Future PlansBased on the experiences and feedback, plans for the next offering of the course include: - Formalizing the lecture assignment o Give a grade for the

. Thesolution was to present the faculty with “…compiled data in each category and in a holisticmanner so they can decide whether each category is above, at or below the standard.” [21]Rahemi and Seth (2008) described a similar continuous improvement process model foraeronautical engineering used at Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology (VCAT). [22]In that paper, there was no discussion on component integration; the authors stated that “The program evaluator (department head or program coordinator) then determines what learning outcomes are not being adequately achieved and provides adequate action plans to improve them.” Rahemi and Seth (2008)Another approach was that used by Hussain et al. (2016) [23] [24], which
