Involving business maybe a faux pa at the secondary level, but it strengthens competencies. An aspiring chemist, forexample, who studies industry trends may be of more value, especially at the doctorate level [34]and learning to read business information resources also improves research and literacy skills –that same chemist who knows about Porter’s Five Forces Model demonstrates aninterdisciplinary focus and a further degree of ambition.
