held in 2015 and2016. An online survey was distributed to over 1900 NYC participants, in combination withdeveloping an active LinkedIn social media plan. The VISION NYC LSAMP survey wasinitiated in August,2018, and it received a response rate of 11% of the 1993 invitations.Participants indicated that their range of start date in the NYC LSAMP which goes from Fall1993 to Summer 2018. Preliminary data shows the top five states in which VISION NYCLSAMP participants are employed are New York (64%), New Jersey (5%), Pennsylvania (4%),Maryland (3%), and California (3%). 16% of those employed remained a part of the CityUniversity of New York, and 25% held working positions as a Professor, Tutor, Adjunct, K-12Teacher. The CollaborativeInfrastructure at CUNY allowed for the adaptation and adoption of best practices in educationalpedagogy and cutting-edge STEM research. The City University of New York graduated outputrose from 274 in 1994 to 1,529 URM with BA/BS degrees in 2018 at the end of Phase 5 (Phase1-5, 1992 to 2018). Make a clear plan on how the TCU can best participate and what it is looking for in the partnership. Check in frequently and share feedback early and often with all members involved. Do not ignore cultural norms or traditions because the RU culture doesn’t account for it. These are teaching moments and they should be celebrated, not shrouded.• Foster trust outside of TCUs. As the program continues to grow andestablish itself, increased feelings of belonging and community may naturally emerge.An important topic to discuss, and a future refinement that we plan to make to our study, is theincentivization of participants to respond to surveys. For this study all responses were madevoluntarily, with no incentivization. Only 16% of undergraduate student mentees and 46% ofgraduate student mentors replied to both pre- and post-event surveys.
