+C units. The units included designing and testing a movingobject, creating sculptures with circuitry, and developing an ecosystem video game. Theyassessed the students’ engagement and attitudes towards STEM+C. Paired T-tests revealedsignificant positive increases in girls’ attitudes toward mathematics and science. Significantincreases were also observed in all students’ attitudes toward science. S-STEM results indicatedthat students’ perceptions of their math and science performance increased. Students also gainedan understanding of STEM+C careers with the largest gains in girls’ knowledge of scientists andcomputer scientists.
