Theophilides & Koutselini showed more in-depth evaluation of the quality andtype of student learning from open versus closed book testing scenarios.8,9 These studies seem to haveopposite findings. The prior demonstrated that when students are told to expect an open book test, theymay decrease or postpone test preparation and review activities.
