extension of a 50 minutelecture, but encompasses you fully. It should also give you a lot more sympathy for K-12teachers. The benefit of assistants and multiple eyes and hands in the classroom becomesapparent, though many teachers do have to fly solo.Lesson 2: You need to be flexible and adaptable with your lesson plan. What you think willengage won’t and what you think won’t will. This presents a real challenge if you feel you havea particular curriculum or content you must cover. The tyranny of content is something that isexperienced by engineering educators at all levels. The question of breadth and depth has beenmentioned before, but bears repeating.1 What of this will students really retain? What is theessential content knowledge? Some

. Lawmakers in the U.S. found it necessary to agree to a bipartisan plan to rescue the U.S.financial system. The agreement was to purchase $700 billion in bad debt. That represented thelargest involvement since the Great Depression. President George Bush vowed to restoreconfidence in the U.S. banking sector and to preserve the free market system. The governmentrevealed a $250 billion plan to buy banks’ stakes in order to show that the government was infact willing to shore them up. videos succinct in order to maintain the students’ attention. For a normal lecture to aclass we normally have built in questions used to illicit student responses, but with video lectureswe had to plan how to incorporate that drawn information in a manner that would encourage thestudent to ponder the information without having to actually respond. Our initial conceived notion was to simply lecture and write our board notes on white piecesof paper with a camera over our shoulder; in the style of the math tutorial videos offered byPatrickJMT of justmathtutoring.com, who has created over 1500 math videos in this manner(many of which were utilized by the authors in graduate school and served as the originalmotivation for this project). 6indicate that the pulse sensor used in the construction of BAN can producereliable data.IV. Conclusion and Future Research A low cost Wireless BAN, using off-the-shelf hardware was built andsuccessfully tested in real time where data was successfully captured anddisplayed on a website. The BAN collected the pulse rate, the temperature and thelocation of the patients. The captured data was made available through a graphingapplication programming interface, where data can be continuously monitored ona website. Future enhancements to safeguard the data, including the encryption ofthe patient data is under investigation. Currently the BAN is powered using a 9Vbattery. In the future we plan to investigate the use of body temperature or

Rapid Prototyping machine, a prototype of the design was fabricated and analyzed. The first prototype did not account for spacing between two moving parts and resulted in a static model. A revised version was fabricated taking the moving parts into consideration to make it a dynamic prototype. Future work is planned to design a suitable test fixture to perform pseudo in-vitro testing of the prototype aortic valve. The subsequent phase of the project could involve controlled testing of the prosthetic aortic valve on a specially designed test fixture or implanted in an animal to validate safe and proper functioning of the prototype In conclusion, utilizing SolidWorks to design and 3D Rapid Prototyping in BME design

. • At many universities and colleges, several courses fill up quickly. Students take short term courses over winter and summer intermission to keep up with their educational plans. • Taking summer and winter break courses can shorten the duration of college education. A student can finish a four year degree in three or three and a half years. • At many universities and colleges especially research institutes, faculty members are extremely busy. Offering short courses gives such faculty members the time they need to meet the demands of their research agenda and other obligations. • Some students prefer taking one or two courses at a time during summer and winter breaks instead of five or
