Enrolled students are mostly sophomores andjuniors who have passed Statics and Calculus III as prerequisites. The number of enrolledstudents in each semester is summarized in Table 1.In the pilot semester, e.g. Fall 2015, the active learning technique was tested as a prototype withjust five practice problems, mostly offered in the last quarter of the sixteen week course.Following the successful pilot of the technique, more in-class practice problems were offered insubsequent semesters.
