An MEA is aproblem-based learning approach to engage students in a long-term, realistic problem that allowsspace for students to self-assess their progress, document their work, reuse and share their modelfor other situations, and develop a working prototype. , we are redeveloping SBA to center attention to the experience of being a low-income student in one of the most expensive parts of the country and plan to start our strengths-based work with new students with this focus. We will encourage students to consider how theirstrengths can be used not only to succeed in engineering or computer science but also to navigatechallenging realities of being a low-income student. years (n = 282, SD = 4.58), ranging from ages 22 to 52. Students reported an average of M = 2.84 (n = 282, SD = 1.63) years in the doctoral program, ranging from 1 to 10 years. Exploratory factor analysis identified six latent factors with 36 items, showing excellent internal consistency reliability. However, the items for two distinct constructs for psychological safety climate and mastery climate did not group together. Therefore, we planned to revise these scale items for the next round of validity study, as the literature differentiates between these constructs. USAFA civilengineering program that were conducted during the 2023-2024 academic year. Prior to eachproject being offered as a capstone, faculty advisors had to justify how they anticipated theproject would meet the ABET criteria. Additionally, faculty within the USAFA civilengineering program discussed all six projects and assessed each of them against the criteria aspart of the course assessment process. If the project was assessed as weak or lacking in any ofthe three areas, the plan was to either modify the project to strengthen compliance or to simplynot offered it again as a capstone project. 44 undergraduate students from CS,computer engineering, and mechanical engineering enrolled in the course in Spring 2024.Research Foundation for New Drone-Centric CurriculumWe designed this course based on recent CS research on drones, specifically leveraging drones toprotect users from privacy invasion and information leakage [4], [5]. Each drone is treated as anautonomous object, designed to preserve its own privacy through pre-programmed movementsand control via a remote user’s smartphone. Multiple cameras and sensors can be embedded intothe smartphone for enhanced portability and usability. Here, SoPT facilitates planned operationswhile safeguarding privacy- and security-sensitive information from adversaries, whether inexisting or
