The Likert survey responses were used to generate thesemi-structured interview protocol to more fully investigate the impact of their participation ontheir perception of engineering.Two areas of particular interest are: 1) what professional skills were gained as a result ofparticipating, and 2) the impact of CDS on persistence to pursue engineering professionally. Near the completion of the course, the attributes and characteristics sheets originally prepared and submitted by each student, but now including all of the comments from their group members evaluating the student‟s performance as PM, are complied and given back to the students. Therefore, at the conclusion of the course, students have a clear record of their individual performance as PMs as measured against their own initial list of the attributes and characteristics of a ‘good’ PM.
