one was about the student response. TIED UP involved several activelearning exercises and required a certain level of commitment from the students to complete. Based on thefeedback from several experienced faculty members, students’ response to innovative teachingapproaches such as a flipped classroom had not been completely positive. On-campus facilitiesand institutional arrangements such as consulting and enterprise incubators should beinvestigated by appealing to other professional models, i.e., medicine, law, veterinarymedicine, etc. Some of these activities are at the very least self-supporting, but could,if properly planned, shed funds that could be used to support other academicendeavors.I believe there are feasible action plans that should be adopted to pave the way forpotential collaboration between industry and academe. Therefore, we are concernedwith our students whether they are copying the homework solutions available in internet and/orother sources. This has become especially evident when a student gets a perfect or near perfectoverall score for their homework grade, yet their test scores are very low. Yoda earns positive scores in each of these areas. The authors agreed that Yoda’sorganization was neutral. While having a clear lesson plan that captured the attention of so manyvery young students is impressive, allowing Obi Won to interrupt is a significant, if important,distraction. The authors disagreed on how to assess Yoda’s communication. While clearlyengaging young students at a level they could understand, “Yoda speak” is confusing to many.Ultimately, the largest Star Wars nerd among the authors insisted this not count against Yoda andassigned a positive score.
