Nevertheless,it is important for us to share the activities and strategies we incorporate within our college tofoster a sense of self-identity rooted in community impact for all engineering students.Recruiting minorities to pursue engineering degrees is an important and necessary action forinstitutions to increase diversity and inclusion in engineering programs. Early recruitment ofminorities for engineering programs has been long advocated to promote equity and inclusion inthe field of engineering [1].
