TheDepartment of Information, Sciences and Technology (IST) at The Pennsylvania StateUniversity recognized the importance of project management and problem based learning as anecessary component required to support the needs of the business community. Employers andHuman Resource recruiters have communicated to us that their organizations are interested inemploying IST graduates that have studied project management and systems integration anddesign. A course in project management was developed and first offered in the Fall semester2003 at the Penn State Hazleton Campus. Students in the integration option of IST have beenrequired to take the IT project management course and software
