Page 26.348.8USB Soundcard ScopeIn order to visualize the chaotic attractor one would typically use an oscilloscope (see Figure 6),however such devices are frequently out of the price range for hobbyists and students to makea simple demonstration. Moreover, the measurement of analog signals using a Line-In port of adesktop soundcard is no longer a relevant solution to replace an oscilloscope. The 1990’s desktopscame commonly equipped with a soundcard which included a Line-In port. The current computermarket is split between desktop and laptop computers

This allows for practice with other critical thinking skills, including: (i) under-standing what the data tells them about the circuit performance and (ii) interpretation of thesemeasurements, while providing immediate feedback as to whether or not their interpretation ofthe data was correct. The professor/expert-student spends less and less time modeling critical Page 24.396.6thinking skills as the quarter progresses, allowing the students more opportunities to practice themin pairs, learning from one-another.In the final mini-project

Hence, the user computes the forward kinematics and then the inversekinematics for the individual gripper positions necessary to carry out the instructor specifiedtask (for example, a pick and place routine). The resulting angular positions arrived at for each of the positions which the robotic arm isdesired to move through are placed in tabular form. These values are now entered in this VIand the execute button is clicked on. Error checking is first done to ensure that the enteredvalues lie within the specified ranges of motion of each motor.
