This advancement hasproven successful for over 50 years, as have many of the graduates of this then uniqueprofessional educational approach for creative engineering practice. From an educational and financial analysis, the ASEE-National Collaborative initiative is botheducationally sound, proven, adaptable to all regions of the nation, and is extremely cost-effective. Feasibility analysis to date indicates that the National Collaborative’s approach ofintegrating professional graduate engineering education with on-going creative engineeringpractice and project-based learning in industry will generate [median] technological returns ofover 10 to 1

As both Kram’s and Nyquist &Wulff ’s models show, the roles and expectations of supervisors and mentors must also developalong with their students for this process to work. Toward this end, the fellowship program thatwe describe in the next section and throughout this paper was designed to support students asthey practice the roles of faculty alongside mentors who are near-peers, thus supporting thetransition between the “colleague-in-training” and the “junior colleague” stages of development.Creating a Graduate Student-to-Faculty Fellowship Program The Rising Engineering Education Faculty fellowship (REEFF) was designed with asingle objective in mind: to develop a self

Students Wanting to Send theirChildren to Norwich University’s Undergraduate ProgramParents can have a large impact on the undergraduate school choice of their children. Mostcolleges and universities stress the importance of a campus visit, often because it is a majorselling point for the institution. For distance-learning students with children heading to atraditional residential college, the opportunity to get the parent(s) on campus is invaluable. There can be a significant amount of time available for campus exploration (compared to thetypical one-hour campus tour provided by most admissions offices) and there are opportunitiesfor detailed discussions about the undergraduate program with the staff and faculty who areavailable during
