To create the model, we consulted the accreditation framework of theAccreditation Board of Engineering Technology (ABET), work assessment centers for managers,other competency frameworks [6], and faculty members at the Department of Engineering andNatural Sciences at the University of Tulsa.After consulting with advisors of the engineering department, definitions of each competencywere drafted and disseminated to the remaining engineering faculty for comment.
