The impact of the implementation of the DSS,modified facility layouts and ergonomic considerations were studied through these experimentsand the sensitivity analysis. It was found that the throughput would increase by 20% and theturnaround time would decrease by more than 20% with the suggested modifications. Further,with the implementation of one or more additional recommendations, the throughput wouldincrease by at least 15% over the existing system. Moreover, the application turnaround timeswould also decrease by at least 20%.
