factors were considered with regards to the students’ success in the bridgeprogram. These factors resulted in some changes which were implemented in the 2010 summerbridge program. The 2010 program saw a larger percentage of students improve their mathcourse placement, with 83% of the students improving their math placement in 2010 vs. 68% in2009. In contrast to one-to-many classroom learning, web technologies can help adjust the pace, sequence, and method ofinstruction to better fit each individual student’s learning behavior and needs. Presently, e-learning is deeply integrated into school curricula to facilitate learning,2 and a fair amount ofliterature discusses that traditional science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) educationcan be greatly benefited by incorporating e-learning strategies.3, 4, 5, 6
