, we present the development of the focus group questions.Table 1 lists the focus group questions that were developed based on the initial evaluation by theexternal evaluator last year and this year. students' perspectives and the resulting impact on student outcomes.Since 2014, a cohort of 8-10 students per year were chosen to participate in the summer program.Following their selection, these students were coached into securing their laboratory placementsabroad. Subsequently, they embarked on a comprehensive immersion into an eight-week summerresearch abroad program. URMs.Research has shown that post-baccalaureate programs provide participants knowledge on thegraduate school and employment application process and keys to success in STEM careers orgraduate studies [7].The project's goal was to provide an enriching experience to students unable to participate inresearch due to the restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic or academic schedules.This just-in-time experiential educational opportunity aimed to provide post-baccalaureates to:(1) acquire another professional credential to make them more marketable in the STEMworkforce, (2) gain laboratory knowledge should they decide to pursue an advanced certificate ordegree as part of their long-term goals, and (3) attend professional development workshops

When provided by advisors, college associate deans and faculty, therewere no students who responded to the invitation. Both individual emails or group emailsprovided no distinction, Subsequently 4 under-represented students were employed to reachstudents. They sent group and follow up individual e-mails. A higher interest resulted. Of 44students who were contacted individually, 12 signed up to visit faculty. The student mentorprovided the questions that students raised as did the faculty.
