For example, Black and Hispanic American studentscollectively earn only 10.6%, 8.4%, and 6.4% of the BS, MS, and Ph.D.’s in aerospaceengineering, respectively. The open-ended project requiredstudents to design an activity that would teach principles of water chemistry to K-12 students.The specifics of the intervention are described in [Bolhari and Tillema, 2022].
