Engagement, or a student’sactive involvement in a task or activity, is important because (among other things) it is linked toretention and graduation rates [4]. Luckily for us, of the 11 engagement indicators used by theNSSE study [4], many of them can be addressed but supporting the 3 antecedents of motivationabove.
