This paper studies the issue of outsourcing in the software engineeringeducational environment as a required component of a software engineering project.The first aspect presented is the outsourcing of a capstone project for the Bachelor of Science inSoftware Engineering Technology program to a developer or development team in an emergingeconomy. An operational process is presented showing how this was done to bring outsourcingas a viable activity for student projects.
