Employing a basicBiCMOS voltage follower, groups are required to conduct circuit-level reliability assessmentsholistically, tasking students with quantifying the interaction among devices under operation,estimating the degradation of individual components, and proposing strategies to mitigatepotential reliability risks. For the team project, electrical and computer engineering students willbe charged with evaluating an assigned circuit on a schematic-level and simulating the circuitoperation, and mechanical engineering students will undertake thermal and mechanical analysesto account for localized Joule heating and its implication on the electrical and mechanicalintegrity of the circuit.
