engineering.Over many months of observation of both her physics and engineering instruction, I realized thatLeslie’s physics inquiry instruction resembled and seemed to support her engineering designinstruction, especially when she was nervous or in doubt. To write a story that encapsulated thesignificance of this realization, I returned to a time when Leslie struggled in engineering designinstruction but persevered; her first day in the Pumpkin Chunkin’ challenge.
