Recruitment methods for the survey included flyers and in-person and emailcommunications with computer science faculty and staff who coordinate undergraduate,graduate, and online programs. We made announcements about the survey during libraryinstruction sessions in computer science and other programs. In the end, we found thatnewsletters and online course management systems also increased participation.The cross-institutional study between three institutions have distinctly different studentpopulations.
