Atman is the founding director of the Center for Engineering Learning & Teaching (CELT), a professor in Human Centered Design & Engineering, and the inaugural holder of the Mitchell T. & Lella Blanche Bowie Endowed Chair at the University of Washington. Two structural equation models (SEMs) have been developed for data analyses with onecontaining grade point average (as a proxy for achievement) as the outcome of interest and thesecond with engineering creativity and propensity for innovation as the outcome of interest.These two models indicate that use of pedagogical practices impact students’ creativity andpropensity for innovation and propensity for innovation impacts students’ achievement (withGPA as a proxy.)
