Virginia University Institute of Technology Mingyu Lu received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University, Bei- jing, China, in 1995 and 1997 respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Uni- versity of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2002. From 1997 to 2002, he was a research assistant at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
