The first group of students attended EET2141 in Fall 2019 andthey were administered real-world problems to solve in the form of printed worksheets handedout after each class lecture. The printed worksheets were related to that day’s lecture materialand were collected in class. The second group of students attended EET2141 during Fall 2020semester and after each class session they were assigned the same worksheets but only availableonline (on Canvas Learning Management System). Students submitted their completedworksheets online via the LMS. The recitation sessions for both groups were held face to face inorder to evaluate the absolute impact of physical and online worksheets between the

Each year, UACOE improved upon each camp, either by making © American Society for Engineering Education, 2021 2021 ASEE Midwest Section Conferencesmall, adaptive modifications or by developing completely new themes or content. This ensuredthat camps improved in quality, while also allowing students to attend each year as a newexperience. In 2017, UACOE incorporated the promising practices for informal learning activities into theircamps. Camp content shifted from several projects with no relationships to central themes. Thisstudy focuses on two themes offered in 2019 and 2020 since both were implemented in an in-person and virtual environment. The first

The onlymodification was that if students notified the instructor in advance that they would join the classvirtually exclusively, they would be teamed up with other entirely virtual students if possible.Teaching materials and assessment in Fall 2020 were largely kept the same as in Fall 2019.Quizzes and exams had to be done online instead of in-person. Project presentations and demoswere switched to Zoom. Rather than students working with their teammates side by side in atraditional lab setting, they were assigned to their team’s Zoom breakout room for discussion andgroupwork. 2012 and 2019 [5].This paper will describe the philosophical and practical questions which arose in adoptingDELTA’s gamification module for use in Engineering Statics at NC State. Each of the questionsbelow could be answered in very different ways in different situations with different instructors;Every solution has pros and cons. This paper states the philosophical questions we agonized overand describes the solutions the team adopted for this version of Statics. Any similar project mayhave different answers to these questions but will likely encounter the need to answer them oneway or the other. © American Society for Engineering Education, 2021 2021 ASEE Annual

These quantitative data indicatethat both FTIC and transfer students at CEC share similar attributes; they are part-time students, need morefinancial support, are older than traditional students, and many do not earn their degrees within four or evensix years. All of the CEC graduation rates are considerably lower than reflected in some national data sets (see Table1). For instance, the national four-year graduation rate for engineering undergraduates is 32% (AmericanSociety for Engineering Education or ASEE, 2019), compared to just 14% at Florida InternationalUniversity.
