engineering graduates from non-GCSP institutions? What do they bring tothe table that distinguishes them? Unfortunately, to date, there is little research to address thesedifficult questions. Most of the published materials focus on descriptions of institutional GCSPsor how to design them [4,5], delve into questions pertaining to design and implementation ofGCSP-relevant curricula [6], assess impact of incorporating Grand Challenges (GCs) intogeneral engineering courses [7,8], and describe students’ emerging understanding of becoming aGC Scholar at a single institution, including development of their engineering identity [9]. A comprehensive approach to product safety is taught including the influences of designers, manufacturers, sales and marketing personnel, executives, regulators, consumers, and the use environment. Miss Sweet (code name) was a female of Pilipino descentin her mid-20’s and a recent STEM graduate. The third coordinator was a post-doc in scienceeducation conducting longitudinal research at the school.
