Not surprisingly, studentsoften took strong positions surrounding the central issue(s) in the cases. The main difficultystudents had with was articulating a counter perspective when they perceived a clear ethicalproblem.The papers were evaluated using a scoring rubric in which points were awarded for addressingthe guiding questions (10 points), quality of writing (5 points), and how well they justified theirfinal position on the case (5 points).
