unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) used for search and rescue applications in the event of a major disaster. The platform for the UAV is a quad-rotor type helicopter, referred to as a quadrotor. A mechatronic system integration plan was developed to combine the mechanical, electronic and software elements of the research.
