students affiliated with biomedical engineering programs will furtherdiscern their career path during the summer months along three main trajectories by (1) interning fora pharmaceutical or medical device company (industry); (2) participating in an undergraduate-targeted research experience (graduate/medical school); or (3) shadowing a medical professional(medical school). As such, REUs remain popular options for biomedical engineering studentsseeking to bolster their curriculum vitae for admittance to graduate and medical school.
