To prepare students to organize and execute atechnical document, TWC instructors provide access and training in relevant softwareapplications. These applications include: reference managers; third-party compiled LaTeX,cloud-based collaborative writing tools, and applications designed to improve syntax and clarity.Students also practice delivering verbal briefs. Veteran engineering students often haveexperience delivering presentations and verbal briefs, and are well-positioned to modelpresentation delivery, provide peer student feedback, and help develop a sense of audienceawareness in their non-veteran

Veterans are likelyto interpret ‘integrity’ as behavior that is consistent, authentic, and accountable.In two items designed to measure VAD preferences for industry placement relative to theiracademic preparedness, VAD students indicated they felt their engineering program moreadequately prepared them to work for a civilian organization than a DoD-mission-affiliatedindustry.Responding to the following statement “My engineering coursework at The Citadel has preparedme for success in a DoD-affiliated organization,” 16.67% of VAD students strongly agree;58.33% somewhat agree; 16.67% neither agree nor disagree; and 8.33% somewhat disagree
