ERPs are derived fromElectroencephalography (EEG) recordings that measure variations in electrical activity producedby large populations of brain cells by electrodes placed in key positions on the scalp. ERPs arederived from the large amplitude EEG through a filtering and averaging process, and reflectregularities in electrical brain activity that are time-locked to an external event (for example, asound or a word). This course isrequired by all engineering majors and the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineeringteaches a version taken routinely by industrial, mechanical, electrical, computer, and computerscience engineers. The class was populated with 172 engineers, split evenly between juniors andseniors. Australia and New Zealand to identify how capstone courses areimplemented outside the United States and what strategies can be shared across countries. As intheir United States counterpart, the 2015 Australia and New Zealand surveys includedquantitative, categorical, and open-ended questions on capstone course information, pedagogy,evaluation, faculty, students, projects and teams, expenses and funding, sponsors, and respondentexperience and opinion. The present population isroughly one billion, and is expected to rise to between 1.5 to 1.8 billion by 2050. Due to the highvariability of rainfall patterns, some parts of the country receive large amounts of rain, whileothers have desert-like conditions. Therefore, the interlinking of rivers is of great importance forfuture development. The estimated cost of this largest project in the world is $112 billion.Interlinking of the rivers will augment irrigation, provide a solution to the growing need forindustrial and domestic water, generate electricity, and improve inland navigation.
