We present a method forapplying the K-means algorithm for learner type identification within the more constrainedcontext of a highly technical and advanced MOOC on nanotechnology. We investigate differenttypes of learner behavior that emerge from the above-mentioned clustering and the ways inwhich each group of learners is distinct.
